Monthly Round Up

We're excited to present to you Volume 5, Issue 7 of our Student Services newsletter! As we venture into July, I wish everyone a wonderful summer and hope they enjoy the warm weather. Within this newsletter, you'll find a wealth of enriching updates, invaluable resources, and promising opportunities tailored to enrich your student journey at the Toronto School of Management.

I am pleased to report that our rafting trip, which was held in Ottawa on June 22nd, was an outstanding success. Students who participated in the trip were in awe of the beauty that the Ottawa River had to offer, with an amazing resort to enjoy the picturesque surroundings in a relaxed atmosphere.

Fred Lam, Director of Student Services

I am also pleased to announce that our next major event will be the GUS Summer Games, which will include sports such as badminton, volleyball, track, and a soccer tournament on August 1st and 2nd. Please keep an eye on your email to be able to watch these events! For student athletes that have already registered for events, we wish you the very best of luck and GO TSOM!

As always, we wish each and every one of you a wonderful month ahead, and may your journey be filled with unforgettable memories.

Announcements

For several of our activities and field trips, we have had students sign up and simply not show up. NOT SHOWING UP for an activity takes up a spot/seat that could have been reserved for other students who had a genuine interest in attending. Effective immediately, repeat offenders have been temporarily barred from attending college activities and will be automatically removed from registration for activities until further notice.

It is your responsibility to attend activities that you sign up for and to inform [email protected] 48 hours prior to departure.

Reminders

  • We highly encourage you to get your TSOM student ID card, please schedule an appointment with us to come collect! Please email [email protected] for an appointment. For the safety of all those on campus, please wear your student ID with the complimentary lanyard and ID pouch that were issued to you.

  • Please check the expiration date of your study permit. If your student permit is about to expire, you may need to file for an extension. Please email [email protected] if you require assistance.

  • Please always ensure that you have valid health insurance. Valid health insurance means that you have international student health insurance that is not expired. Please email [email protected] to inquire about renewing your health insurance.
